WHAT IS ALZMEMO?
ALZmemo is a mobile application that utilizes mobility and advanced communication features of smartphones to rehabilitate Alzheimer’s Disease patients and assist their relatives and caregivers. AlzMemo integrates quality of life-enhancing modules such as the memory wallet, event scheduler, and Bluetooth technology
The mobile application is made primarily for Alzheimer’s patients and their relatives. A user (patient) can take photos of people, places, and events and type in a word or a phrase for each one which will be added to the Memory Wallet. A Memory Calendar is where the user can add reminders of events or activities which will alarm on a specified time and show photos that are related to that certain event. The relative can also add photos to the Memory Wallet and events to the Memory Calendar of the patient which will be automatically tagged as a photo or event with that relative. Bluetooth technology is used so that whenever a relative is detected by the range of Bluetooth of the patient, the patient’s application will show a notification that a relative is near and will play a slideshow of photos and video with that relative.

Setting up Patient-to-Relative Relationship (Relative)
Home Screen for user Relative
My Patients: where relative will see the list of patients with an established relationship
Memory Wallet: contains memories(video, voice record, photos) arranged according to the relative’s patient list
My Calendar: contains events that are synced with the patient's calendar
User Settings: where the user relative can view and edit account details
To set up relationship, user relative must input the patient’s username and send a relationship request.

My Relatives: This is also where the user patient will see pending relationship requests from other user relatives
Memory Wallet
The memory wallet is where the user can view the video, voice message, and a slideshow of photos
User Patient can only add and edit video and photos from the memory wallet.
User Relative can add and edit video, photos and voice message for the user relative.
When adding/editing a memory image, the user can choose whether to take a photo from the camera or browse the device gallery. The user can also save an image that will be saved to the phone’s gallery so it can be viewed offline.

This is the view of events arranged by date. To view events from other dates, just click on desired date from the calendar view
When adding/editing events, user can choose the time reminder when the device will alarm
When a patient user’s device detects another relative device’s Bluetooth, a notification will be shown saying that a relative is nearby
When the notification is clicked, a pop up that shows the memory wallet, and the relative’s display picture is shown. The user can also listen to the relative’s voice message.
